The First Week

I've been here a week today and I should have started this then. I've had so much happen both good and slightly ridiculous. I am glad for whoever decides to read this blog, I'm going to use it in lieu of email updates because it just seems easier that way.

I am settled in to my house for the most part, my room is a mess but that's just due to total lack of storage. After a trip to Ikea yesterday with Rachael and Sean, I have enough kitchen tools to cook a bit, which makes me really happy. I made chili and brownies last night for everyone and am looking forward to more cooking. I had almost forgotten how much better the grocery stores are here than in the states. I've already eaten a few of my Tesco favorites.

I have been really fortunate to meet some great people right off the bat and have seen a bit of what Belfast nightlife has to offer so far. I went on pub crawls 2 consecutive nights, it was insane. I will only actually have school for 4 hours a week so I have a considerable amount of downtime, which suits me just fine. I have been wandering around City Centre and my neighborhood and its been really great. We are going to see Kins of Leon tonight (yes, really, a Kings of Leon tribute band) and I am pretty excited. Good company always improves things.

I'm sure there are plenty of other things to mention but I will be updating this fairly frequently (I hope) with stories and updates. Thanks for stopping by!
