So, yesterday was Guinness' 250th birthday.
We had planned to meet around 1 at the Bot to start celebrating this great occasion but due to the late night at Stiff Kitten, only Sean made it at the proper time. Andrew and I stumbled in around 3:30 and the drinking commenced. It was a really great time hanging around day drinking. We had free beers and food and took really horrible pictures. Apparently as a group we are just not very photogenic. At 17:59 everyone did a toast to Arthur Guinness while watching a simulcast from around the UK and otherwise. It was really cool to be a part of. The best part was probably Tom Jones singing "Its not unusal" directly after and being in a super packed pub singing along (only the first verse, of course).
Around 8 or so some of us decided that a nap and change of clothes was in order and we disbanded. Well, I woke up around midnight having no idea where I was and why I was in fancy dress. It was really a proud moment for me thus far. Luckily, Kristian, looking out for my well-being decided that he would fetch me and we would get kebabs so I wouldn't go to bed hungry. We had a great time watching the really drunk people stumble about and not actually be drunk ourselves. Apparently Irish men just pee wherever the mood strikes them.
As of now I'm a bit under the weather, not having 100% adjusted to the time difference. However, Rachael and I indulged in a bit of retail therapy today in City Centre and perhaps Jay will bring his projector over for a movie night. I bought Labrynth today and I'm pretty excited to watch it.
I think that's probably enough rambling for now, look for more later
